Montezuma Castle, AZ (7) Montezuma Castle isn't a castle and has nothing to do with Montezuma. The five-level cliff dwelling in a limestone alcove above Beaver Creek, near Camp Verde, AZ was home to the Sinagua people more than 600 years ago. The ruins are located about 90 miles north of Phoenix.

Giant Saguaro, Rio Verde, AZ These Saguaro's are protected in Arizona. The cactus grows "arms" when they are 60-75 years old. Grows one on one side, then another arm grows on opposite side... to balance the cactus. These cacti live to well over 100 years old. The cactus "skin" opens and contracts like an accordian.... dependent on amount of water it is receiving.
